Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour 3rd Annual Picnic & Native Plant, Seed, Cutting and Gardening Book Exchange and Resource Fair

Sunday, September 20, 2026 — 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

You’re invited to join us at the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour’s 3rd Annual Picnic, Native Plant, Seed, Cutting and Gardening Book Exchange and Resource Fair at Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area in El Sobrante on Sunday, September 20 from 11:00-3:00

Location: Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area, El Sobrante.

Register here to attend the picnic.

Take home a free native plant (while supplies last).

Enter the free drawing to win a bird feeder.

Go home with cuttings and seeds for your own garden!

Chat with our friendly Native Plant Ambassadors, who will be on hand to answer your native plant gardening questions.

Visit the Pollinator Pathway tables and learn about Pollinator Pathways in Pinole, El Cerrito, Castro Valley, Hayward, Fremont, and Livermore. Plant natives in your own garden and become part of a Pollinator Pathway in your city!

Check out the resource tables, including one on fire-scaping, and a California native street trees table staffed by our very own Janet Flint, for those of you who wish you had a native tree in your front garden.

Visit the Garden Tour’s table and chat with Lainie Johnson about how you can hold fun native-plant related events in your area that will help you make new friends while doing the planet good.

Bring California native plants, native plant cuttings, and native seeds to share. (Don’t worry if you don’t have anything to bring – there is usually more than enough to go around.) Contribute to the Book Exchange by bringing nature-related book you are ready to pass along.

Tote in your own lunch, drinks, and a potluck item.
