Join us for a walk along the Skyline Trail to see the restoration efforts of Skyline Gardens volunteers. This is a CNPS East Bay Chapter sponsored project on EBMUD land. The restoration project started in 2016, and has expanded each year, creating room for many local native plants. This is prime wildflower season, expect to see lots of blooming native plants, and vistas of Mt. Diablo and the Golden Gate.
This 1.5 mile roundtrip includes narrow trails, and, if you are so inclined, a steep, short trek up to Barberry Peak. Wear sturdy shoes, pants, be prepared for a lot of sunshine, and feel free to bring your trekking poles. The actual field trip should take about an hour.
The field trip is limited to 15 people. Please RSVP on Meetup.
Rain cancels the event.
Your field trip leaders are Glen Schneider, project leader, and Cynthia Adkisson, long time volunteer.
