Friends of Sausal Creek is having its annual native plant sale and open house on Saturday, October 26th, from 10am-3pm. The FOSC nursery is in Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland.
Since 2006, FOSC has been propagating native plants from seeds and cuttings collected in the watershed, most of which are planted in public parks and green spaces in the Sausal
Creek Watershed from the Oakland hills to the estuary at 26 Adopt-a-Spot sites. FOSC also donates hundreds of plants to local schools and low-resourced community organizations each year. The annual plant sale is a fundraiser that helps keep our operation running.
We’ll have a wide selection of pollinator- and bird-friendly plants, drought tolerant plants, plants good for erosion control, and even plants for containers if your garden space is limited. FOSC staff and volunteers will be there to answer questions and help select plants for shady, sunny, and in between gardens.
Hope to see you there!
