Huckleberry Park Restoration Workday

Sunday, August 17, 2025 — 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

In hot, sunny weather, we will probably attack Vinca intrusions on the eastern side of the park–also a good work site in the fog because the lower elevation will keep us out of the drizzle.  If August 17 is neither scorching nor foggy, then we’ll decide on the day’s work site when we meet in the main parking lot off of Skyline.

Even if you’re not pulling weeds, you might want to stop by Huckleberry Park to enjoy the long bloom of  Holodiscus discolor (ocean spray).

Even though it’s summer, we recommend wearing closed toe shoes with good tread for slopes and long pants reaching to shoe tops to prevent tick and poison oak exposure.   Water and hats are almost always a good idea.

Email questions about Huckleberry dates to restoration@ebcnps.org.
