We need all the help we can get for this spring’s East Bay SOD Blitz. It is especially important because of all the rain! And two new strains must be tracked. This means going out on trails and identifying bay trees that may have signs of Sudden Oak Death pathogen. See the training video and register below! This will help us save our beautiful oak trees.

The East Bay dates are May 12, 13, and 14. Packets can be picked up and dropped off at the west kiosk at UC Berkeley as well as the Orinda Fire Station. See the schedule links for details.
Please register online using the links below, review the training video and where to pick up and drop off packets. You will need a cell phone to download the SODMAP MOBILE app so that you can write the location of each tree where a collection is made.

4- Go to your event’s SOD Blitz station to collect and return materials on the dates and times specified in the schedule
5- Fill in the feedback questionnaire in your collection packet
6- If you are taking any steps to prevent SOD from spreading or infecting oaks in your community, please fill in the SODquest questionnaire included in your collection packet and also available online.
