Election of officers is one of our chapter’s most important annual activities. The board typically nominates candidates for the five elected chapter offices—President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer—and will do so again this year.
Additional nominations for any of these five offices must be submitted in writing to the chapter’s Nominating Committee, along with five (5) supporting signatures of members in good standing and a letter from the nominated candidate affirming a willingness to serve. Nominations must be sent to the chapter address below and postmarked by November 10, 2022.

This year we will again conduct our chapter elections electronically. A percentage of our members have not shared their email addresses with us, so we will send paper ballots via USPS mail to those members. However, each paper ballot uses chapter and planetary resources: two envelopes, two or three sheets of paper, and two stamps, as well as fuel to transport the ballot back and forth.
If you haven’t provided your email to us, would you be willing to share it solely for the purpose of electronic voting each year? If you will agree to this, please send an email expressing your wishes and providing your email address to treasurer@ebcnps.org. We will not use your email address for any other purpose than chapter elections.
Stay tuned for election updates and voting instructions on our website and in the Bay Leaf newsletter. If you have any questions, please send a message to nominations@ebcnps.org.
