CNPS East Bay and Bryophyte chapters are hosting the quarterly State CNPS Board of Directors and Chapter Council meetings in Berkeley during the first weekend of June. The meetings will be held on the UC Berkeley campus. Organizing an event like this is a big project, and a team of volunteers from the East Bay and Bryophyte chapters has been working to make it happen.
Extra hands are always needed on the day of an event, and we would appreciate an extra pair (or two) on Saturday, June 6, to help with registration, lunch orders, social hour setup, and putting away afterward.
We also put out a call in the April Bay Leaf asking for volunteers willing to host out-of-towners for a couple of nights in their homes, and we still need one more.

Spending some time with our counterparts from other chapters is always an interesting and inspiring experience. Each chapter has its own challenges—in conservation, plant science, volunteerism, and communications—and each crafts its own approach.
