Our CNPS East Bay Chapter is returning to the Solano Avenue Stroll this year for three good reasons: we want to educate the public about the environmental problems surrounding the proposed mountain bike flow trail in Wildcat Canyon Regional Park, we want to remind the public of all the other things our chapter does, and we’re adding some new activities that people might enjoy. We’re looking for a few volunteers to help greet people and share information at our chapter’s table.
This year’s Solano Avenue Stroll takes place on Sunday, September 13, and covers a mile of the street starting at The Alameda. Table shifts will consist of at least two people and will be approximately 2.5 hours long between 9 am and 6 pm (including setup in the morning and breakdown at the end of the event), so there will be time for you to stroll the avenue yourself if you want to enjoy the event as a whole! We will always have at least one experienced person with you to help answer questions, and we will brief you to help you prepare, including information about the flow trail that you can read in advance.
To sign up, please email outreach@ebcnps.org and give us your name, email, and phone number. We’ll be in touch to confirm and answer any questions.
