Places to Go

From one of the most beautiful botanic gardens dedicated to native plants to the diverse environs of Mt. Diablo, there is much to discover about the native flora at these special places in the East Bay.

  • East Bay Regional Park District has many parks in both Alameda and Contra Costa counties as well as information about local wildflowers and a Botanic Garden which showcases California native plants.
  • Mount Diablo State Park is a biodiversity hotspot.

You can explore these places on your own, or using our virtual field trips, or by joining our Meetup group.
