Refreshments Shoppers for Members Meetings
Add to the friendliness of our popular monthly Members Meeting presentations by helping provide refreshments for attendees (the cost of the refreshments is 100 percent reimbursed by East Bay CNPS).
Responsibilities: For one Members Meeting (or more than one meeting, if you can): shop for refreshments, set up the refreshments table before the meeting, and pack up when the meeting is ending.
Location: East Bay CNPS Members Meetings, usually held at the Orinda Public Library, 26 Orinda Way, 94563.
Qualifications: Means to transport refreshments to the meeting venue.
Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per meeting, including about an hour for shopping plus three hours for setting up the refreshments table, enjoying the lecture, and packing up afterwards.
Meetings are held eight times a year: fourth Wednesday evening of January-May and September-October; third Wednesday evening of November.
Set-up starts at 7 pm; we vacate the room by 10 pm (often before 10 pm).
Training/Support: We’ll provide you with a budget, a suggested shopping list (you’re welcome to deviate from it), and set-up/pack-up instructions.
Benefits to Volunteer: Appreciation of your efforts by audience members (everyone loves refreshments!) and the opportunity to learn from and enjoy the lecture. The chapter will fully reimburse the cost of refreshments.
